Deputy Head of High School
About the Job:We are seeking an experienced and innovative leader to join our team as Deputy Head of High School at Curro Durbanville in the Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who can drive excellence in academic, sport, culture, and service offerings.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Executive Head and School Leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning practices.
- Assist the Executive Head in ensuring good professional practice, standards, and quality of teaching and learning of subjects in the school.
- Contribute to curriculum development at school and system level.
- Coordinate the teaching and learning of prescribed curricula.
- Develop and manage the annual budget across the high school.
- Ensure timely provision of textbooks, materials, and equipment required for effective teaching.
- Mentor other teachers in their subject specialties.
- Lead regular departmental meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (FET) or higher.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership position.
- Excellent management and leadership skills.
- Innovative thinking.
- Knowledge of IEB curriculum and delivery.
- SACE registration.
- A competitive salary: R750,000 - R900,000 per annum.
