A challenging and rewarding role has become available for a skilled Technical Sales Consultant at Placement Point in Killarney Gardens. This exciting opportunity involves providing exceptional technical support to our sales and distribution partners, ensuring market growth through effective partnership management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Collaborate with sales teams to deliver top-notch technical assistance to clients and partners, guaranteeing seamless project execution.
  • Project Management: Oversee the acquisition, design, engineering, and site inspection of projects, fostering strong relationships with contractors and consultants.
  • Sales Team Support: Provide expert technical guidance to main installers on sites, ensuring efficient project completion.
  • Site Reporting: Prepare comprehensive site reports as required by management, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Design Assistance: Utilize Silvestro software to assist with designs when necessary, enhancing project outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Organize and conduct sales-oriented and technical training sessions for key partners, merchants, plumbers, engineers, and developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
  • Consultant Visits: Arrange and facilitate consultant visits for technical training and assistance, reinforcing partnerships.
  • Trade Engagement: Regularly visit assigned merchants, participate in demo days, and engage with trade plumbers to drive trade sales and interaction.
  • CRM Utilization: Leverage CRM for all sales activities, including customer visits planning, contact reporting, and project information management.

Requirements:

  • Industry Expertise: Possess knowledge of the building industry and/or plumbing/sanitary industry.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of working experience in the plumbing/sanitary field, with established relationships with contractors and consultants; international experience is advantageous.
  • Construction Site Experience: Familiarity with construction sites, hands-on experience in sales and marketing.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, CAD (Autocad), and REVIT/BIM applications, along with negotiating skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid unendorsed Code 8 Driver's License, which is non-negotiable for this position.
  • Computer Literacy: Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office, CRM, CAD (Autocad), and REVIT/BIM applications.

The estimated salary for this role is around R600,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
