About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at CF Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expansion in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business growth strategy to expand our network of financial advisors and clients.
  • Manage relationships with existing advisor clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and a high level of satisfaction.
  • Design and implement a communication strategy to engage with advisors, prospective clients, and end-users, promoting our investment proposition and services.
  • Provide training and support to advisors on outcomes-based investment solutions, tools, and investment planning propositions.
  • Enhance the value and service proposition by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to build our brand and reputation in the financial services industry.
  • Collate and maintain business development reports and databases, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
  • Plan and coordinate events for advisors and clients, fostering relationships and promoting our services.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to advisors on para-planning and other business development activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor products, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and relevant.
  • Record and report on the delivery of our service model, including client interactions and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as investments, economics, or business sciences.
  • CFP certification is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with significant engagement with independent advisors.
  • Basic understanding of investment management theory, investment analysis, portfolio construction, asset classes, collective investment schemes, investment products, investment planning, the financial advice industry, practice management, and the regulatory environment for financial services.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with skills in brand building and marketing.
