Talented Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Senior Account Manager/Merchandiser to drive business growth and develop strategic partnerships.
About the RoleThis critical position requires a skilled professional with expertise in product development, cost negotiation, and category management. As a Senior Account Manager/Merchandiser, you will be responsible for:
- Product Development & Sourcing: Developing tailored product ranges that meet customer requirements, while maintaining quality and design integrity.
- Cost Negotiation: Effectively negotiating costs with suppliers in China, ensuring alignment with buyers/customers in South Africa.
- Critical Path Management: Overseeing the entire process from briefing to delivery, guaranteeing 100% on-time delivery.
- Product Expertise: Possessing in-depth knowledge of each product category, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and design integrity.
- Range Showings: Presenting product ranges to retailers in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg.
- Sales & Financial Targets: Meeting and exceeding set sales budgets and GP% targets per customer.
- Problem-Solving & Agility: Thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing stress effectively, and solving challenges proactively.
- Category Management: Overseeing additional categories, including Winter Accessories, Headwear, Summer Scarves & Novelty Accessories, and Kids Accessories.
