About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary team at HR Genie. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement innovative pastry and baking concepts, showcasing your expertise in culinary techniques.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels and minimizing waste, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Ensure seamless kitchen operations, handling customer feedback and making necessary adjustments to meet customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification, with proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong inventory management and cost control skills, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent staff training and development capabilities, with a creative approach to menu development and food presentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
