Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and developing new pastry and dessert recipes.
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread for our guests.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and other members of the culinary team.
- Collaborate with other departments such as the dining room and galley to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Actively participate in menu planning and development.
- Assist with ordering and receiving of pastry supplies and ingredients.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie Pastry in a high-volume fine dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
