Job Description

Kamo Placements is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Chief Directorate, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing documents and information.
    • Ensure that all documents and information are properly managed in line with relevant prescripts.
    • Update the Chief Directorate's strategic information on the intranet and relevant platforms.
    • Coordinate and quality assure the submission of strategic reports within the specified timeframe.
    • Draft, edit, and format documents using Department templates.
  • Budget Administration Support
    • Monitor expenditure for the Chief Directorate and reconcile and report on expenditure and projections.
    • Collect and coordinate all documents related to the manager's budget.
    • Assist the manager in determining funding requirements for MTEF submissions.
    • Keep records of expenditure commitments and monitor expenditure allocation.
    • Check and correlate BAS reports to ensure correct expenditure allocation.
  • Project Administration Support
    • Develop and maintain a database on CD projects.
    • Coordinate progress updates with relevant components and follow-up on outstanding tasks.
    • Provide administrative support in the implementation of the TOR.
    • Provide advice to the CD on challenges for further interventions.

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years working experience in administration.
