Job Summary:
The Academic Registrar will be responsible for implementing and managing Academic Legislative and Regulatory Requirements applicable to the Registrars Office at CTU Career Chatz. This includes developing, implementing, and managing a Quality Management System based on National and International best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Admissions and Registrations: Oversee the student admissions and registration process, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assessment and Moderation Administration: Manage the assessment and moderation process, ensuring that it is fair, transparent, and compliant with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Graduation Service: Coordinate the graduation process, ensuring that it is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Rules and Regulations: Update and maintain the rules and regulations of the institution, ensuring that they are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Academic Prospectus: Coordinate the development and dissemination of the academic prospectus, ensuring that it accurately reflects the institution's programs and policies.
- Student Records Management: Oversee the management of student records, ensuring that they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Academic Governance: Provide guidance on academic governance and policy to faculty and staff, ensuring that they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Assessment and Moderation Reports: Warrant assessment and moderation reports, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Institutional Annual Report: Prepare the institutional annual report, ensuring that it accurately reflects the institution's performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system, ensuring that it is based on National and International best practices.
- External Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external stakeholders, including quality councils and SETAs, ensuring that the institution's policies and procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Student Disciplinary Matters: Manage student disciplinary matters, ensuring that they are handled in a fair and transparent manner.
- Student and Parent Consultation Meetings: Coordinate student and parent consultation meetings, ensuring that they are conducted in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Honours Degree in Education, specialising in Education. A master's degree in education is recommended.
- Experience: Ten years of relevant experience at a tertiary institution, of which five years should have been in a senior management role.
- Skills: Competent in assessment, data analysis, and educational outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse members of the CTU Career Chatz community.
