Job Title: Academic Registrar

The Academic Registrar will be responsible for implementing and managing Academic Legislative and Regulatory Requirements applicable to the Registrars Office at CTU Training Solutions. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining effective and compliant records management systems, as well as ensuring legal and regulatory compliance with policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student admissions and registrations
  • Assessment and Moderation administration
  • Graduation service
  • Annual update of rules and regulations
  • Updating academic Prospectus and coordinating information on courses and course guidelines
  • Acting as custodian of all student records
  • Attending senate and senate committees meetings and providing necessary committee services
  • Providing guidance on academic governance and policy to faculties and departments
  • Warranting assessment and moderation reports, academic transcripts, and certificates
  • Preparing institutional annual report for submission to the DHET
  • Participating in initiatives as determined by the Academic Dean
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, Quality Councils, and SETAs
  • Keeping academic and student support policies/rules register valid
Requirements:
  • Minimum qualification: Honours Degree in Education, specialising in Education
  • Master's degree in Education recommended
  • Ten years of relevant experience at a tertiary institution, with five years in a senior management role
  • Experience working with learning management system (LMS) platforms and Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office 365
  • Competencies: assessment, data analysis, educational outcomes, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, ability to synthesize and analyze data, knowledge of National postschool education practices and trends, and technical leadership skills
