Business Development Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy CEO to join our team and drive business growth in both the German and Southern African markets. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, building relationships with key stakeholders, and managing teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of new business areas, acquire projects, and expand services to ensure sustainable growth and innovation in both the German and Southern African markets.
  • Prepare and implement strategic plans and oversee budgets, ensuring financial targets are met through revenue generation and grant funding.
  • Actively represent the organization at high-level economic and political events, both locally and abroad, fostering cooperation with public bodies, business associations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, oversee various Competence Centers, and take responsibility for the overall leadership of the organization, including standing in for the CEO when necessary.
  • Build, maintain, and extend industry-specific networks, ensuring the organization's position as a key service provider in the region.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in foreign trade promotion, sales, and public body engagement, with 3+ years of experience in the Southern African region.
  • A university degree in Economics, Law, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage personnel, drive business growth, and optimize processes.
  • Fluency in German (C2) and English is essential.
  • Intimate understanding of German Federal Ministry procedures, as well as the Southern African and German business markets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of €110,000 - €170,000 per annum, depending on experience, to attract and retain top talent.
