Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to join our team at Barloworld Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of artisans and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve cost centre financial targets and Key Performance Indicators
  • Resolve internal customer queries and ensure effective communication between team and management
  • Control cost centre expenses and WIP, and ensure service work is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM Guidelines)
  • Apply warranty policies and procedures, including warranty decisions and service warranty investigations
  • Ensure outputs of service audits are achieved and support the development of artisans in the respective area
  • Apply Barloworld Equipment leadership philosophy and achieve a team environment that enables maximum productivity and profitability
  • Manage ICRF workshop in terms of SHEQ requirements and ensure CC/SOR compliance
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Trade Test qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving)
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience as Caterpillar Genera Mechanic post apprenticeship or learner ship experience
  • Minimum of 4 years Caterpillar Component rebuild experience with substantial troubleshooting exposure (post Qualification)
  • Well familiar with failure analysis and re-useability guidelines on components
  • Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Components
  • Well imbedded Component specific technical knowledge and skills
  • Familiar with Dyno and Hydraulic testbench operation and troubleshooting
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good technical report writing skills
  • Basic business and financial understanding
  • Computer literate and good business writing knowledge
  • Good and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge
