About the Role

Cepheid is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Key Account Manager to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expansion in the Public Sector market, including the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) and other key accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the Public Sector market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including NHLS leadership, NGO funders, and Department of Health officials.
  • Position Cepheid products for utilization across all targeted disease categories.
  • Develop and implement marketing messaging and activities to support sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with Global Access Teams to position Cepheid as a key partner in public health.
  • Manage effective brand awareness and customer service excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in sales key account management, preferably in the diagnostics or device industries.
  • Medical background an advantage.
  • Experience in healthcare, existing relationship with NHLS, and relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with ability to work in a team and highly matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, and presentation skills required.
