Social Media Manager

As the South African Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the general social media department in executing the company's global social media strategy. Your key responsibilities will include creating engaging content, managing multiple social media platforms, and collaborating with the sales and marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities:- Content creation: Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing goals.
- Social media management: Manage multiple social media platforms, including scheduling and publishing content, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on social media performance and make data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns.
- Staying up-to-date: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in social media marketing and incorporate them into strategies where relevant.
- Knowledge of social media platforms: Familiarity with various social media platforms, including their features and best practices.
- Content creation: Ability to create engaging content suitable for different social media platforms.
- Analytics: Understanding of social media analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of social media campaigns.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with followers, responding to comments and messages, and conveying the brand's message effectively.
- Creativity: The ability to come up with innovative ideas for social media campaigns and content that can help the brand stand out.
- Organizational skills: Must be able to manage multiple platforms, schedules, and campaigns simultaneously.
- Customer service skills: Being able to handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ability to generate engaging content ideas and think outside the box when it comes to social media.
- Understanding of social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for engaging with followers and conveying the brand's message.
- Ability to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the overall marketing goals of the organization.
You will be working closely with the Head of Social Media to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels. You will also be collaborating with other members of the sales and marketing team to ensure that all content published on social media platforms is of high quality and error-free.
