**Job Title:** Climate Engagement Strategist

**Location:** CBD, Western Cape

Labournet is currently expanding its team of consulting professionals and seeks a highly skilled Climate Engagement Strategist to support short-term management consulting and longer-term project implementation assignments.

The successful candidate will manage multiple streams of work within projects through their project teams, anticipating and mitigating risks while ensuring delivery. Key areas include climate change, nature-based solutions, and natural infrastructure.

About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic problem-solver with strong commercial acumen, possessing solid experience in strategy consulting and international development around issues related to climate change, energy, and water sectors.

The ideal candidate should be confident in performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, including data mining, financial modeling, statistical analysis, market research, business intelligence collection, policy analysis, economic analysis, and institutional analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop client problems into concise hypotheses to identify potential solutionsPerform quantitative research methodologies such as data mining, creating financial models, and statistical analysisConduct qualitative research methodologies including market research and collecting business intelligenceOwning high-quality policy, economic, financial, business model, and institutional analysis to support client projectsPresenting findings to clients, partners, and senior decision-makersLeading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to tackle complex challenges in Africa

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must have an Undergraduate and Master's degree in Economics, Management, Engineering, Finance, International Relations, Law, Development Studies, Public Policy, or Politics. A minimum of 7 years of management consulting experience is required, gained within a consultancy, development finance, or relevant corporate setting.

Candidates should possess proven financial analysis, project management, and project budgeting knowledge and skills. Working in Africa and other frontier markets is preferred. Foreign language proficiency in French or Portuguese is advantageous.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
