Data Centre Facilities Manager

Pathfinders Consulting Pty (LTD) is seeking a highly experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager to oversee the operational management of our data centre facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and extensive knowledge of data centre infrastructure, ensuring the centre operates at peak efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the operation and maintenance of all data centre facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure 24/7 operations, system redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) for equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Conduct regular audits of the facility to identify risks and ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize infrastructure performance.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met and all regulatory compliance requirements are adhered to.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the data centre, controlling costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience managing facilities, with at least 4 years in a data centre environment.
  • Proven track record in managing data centre infrastructure and ensuring high availability.
  • In-depth knowledge of critical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
