Job Title: Claims Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team at Salt Employee Benefits. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the claims department, ensuring that all claims are processed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Claims Management: Manage, plan, monitor, and report on claims-related activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Communication: Liaise with employers, service providers, and internal departments to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Team Support: Lead and manage a team of claims administrators, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with service providers and internal departments to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines to ensure that all claims are processed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience in employee benefits/retirement fund administration, specifically in a similar role processing retirement fund claims and dealing with employers and external providers.
  • Knowledge: Solid knowledge of pension fund legislation, regulations, and guidelines, as well as experience with unitization and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skills: Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
