Claims Service Advisor Job Description

Aon is seeking a skilled Claims Service Advisor to join our Risk Solutions department. As a Claims Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in managing the claims process from registration to finalization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide claims services to clients, including claims administration and resolving specific claims issues.
  • Manage Liability, Medmal, PI, and D&O type claims.
  • Register new claims on relevant systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide Client Managers with claims statistics and liaise with other claims personnel to identify and resolve claims issues.
  • Deal with insurers and claims service providers to resolve issues, including the appointment of assessors and/or loss adjustors.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team, productivity targets, and service level agreements.
  • Manage aggregates, including fund management, and provide monthly reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferable.
  • LLB degree is advantageous (or studying towards it).
  • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
  • Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA (or studying towards).
Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings and claims administration.
  • Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.
  • Good communication skills.
