**What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)**

Reporting directly in to the young and dynamic Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility in managing nearly 50 key accounts and bringing in new business.

Your key responsibility will be to maximise current and long-term sales and profit margins whilst building new relationships and maintaining existing relationships with customers.

You will be selling food related products mainly to food manufacturing companies. You’ll have 15 client appointments to attend on a weekly basis where you’ll have on site visits with top management. You’ll interact closely with the new product development team and present your offerings to your clients which is a really exciting part of the role. Goes without saying that your follow through and follow up strategies need to be strong. We’re looking for someone that doesn’t just talk the talk but is action orientated and eager to take the company to new success.

Our client is a dynamic, innovative medium sized food related business that has been operating for nearly 30 years. With an impressive and diverse customer list they are set up for success. **What you’ll need**

Ideally we’d like someone with a degree in commerce or food technology / science, with a min of 2 years’ solid sales experience in an external sales position selling tangible products. Ideally in the food / chemicals space, however we’d be open to other industries as we’re looking for the right sales experience, attitude and capabilities.

You’ll need to have a car and driver’s license and understand Afrikaans very well as majority of your clients are Afrikaans speaking.

We’re needing someone that is self-motivated and managed - doesn’t need to be micromanaged. That has great attention to detail, has a strong affinity with figures, is analytical and conscientious - really cares about their work and clients. Being target driven and passionate about sales is a key requirement.

**What you’ll get**

Market related basic salary with a petrol card, company laptop, cell phone, provident fund and commission. Your week is a combination of work from home and office / client visits. Your Manager is young, dynamic and encouraging. It’s a really exciting industry and role for someone that’s eager for a new challenge.
