Skills Development Officer

Purpose of the job
To initiate, drive and implement skills development for all employees of the company, in accordance with the agreed Skills Development and BEE plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of Skills Development programmes
- Learner certification and close out of programmes
- Relationship Management
- Ad hoc responsibilities
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant diploma or degree in HR (Training and Development) or retail management (Essential)
- At least two years’ experience in HR or retail management
- Experience in training and development would be an advantage
- Experience in Skills Development facilitation (Advantage)
- Computer Literacy: MS Office and/or Google Suite
- Strong administrative skills
- Numerical literacy
- Knowledge of SETA funding processes
- Knowledge of accredited programme delivery (i.e. learnerships; internships; skills programmes)
- Code 8 Drivers License
- Willingness to travel within South Africa
- Ability to attend external Skills Development engagements independently
- Competencies required: Performing under pressure, Results oriented, Planning, Drive, Personal Development, Providing Feedback, Creating Support, Organisational Sensitivity and Integrity
