An experienced Director of Sales and Marketing is sought to lead and develop the commercial strategy of two properties, driving revenue growth, and overseeing all sales, marketing, and account management activities. This role requires focusing on maximizing profitability, identifying new market opportunities, and fostering long-term relationships with key clients and partners.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
- 10 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional areas within hospitality OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major coupled with 8 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own car
- Be able to travel between Cape Town and Gauteng as and when required

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**:

- Commercial Strategy Sales Leadership Revenue Management Market Expansion Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hotel operations, and finance, to ensure cohesive execution of commercial strategies and alignment with overall business goals.
- Marketing: Support the marketing team in creating targeted campaigns that drive demand and enhance brand visibility.
- Reservations Management: Ensure the reservations team operates efficiently, providing excellent customer service and maximizing booking opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to streamline the reservation process and improve guest satisfaction.
- Budgeting & Financial Planning: Play a key role in the budgeting process, working with finance to develop accurate forecasts and financial models. Monitor performance against budgets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates and detailed reports on commercial performance, market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to senior management. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Event and Banqueting Sales: Oversee the Banqueting Sales team, ensuring the seamless coordination of events and maximizing revenue from group bookings. Develop and maintain relationships with event planners and corporate clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
