Duties/Pligte
- Providing technical support and training to academic and non-academic staff for the various other learning technologies supported in the Centre for Learning Technologies;
- Providing specialised digital assessment support to the faculties, departments and lecturers regarding quality control, best practice guides in line with the SU assessment strategy, and coordinating the assessment calendar;
- Providing specialised HTML and other web-based language support to advanced users on the learning management platforms;
- Liaising with and escalating support tickets to the IT Division regarding problem solving and investigating complex technical queries (Tier 2 and higher);
- Conducting scheduled training workshops, one-on-one sessions, as well as departmental workshops on SUNLearn and SUNOnline learning management systems and other supported learning technologies;
- Creating digital user guides and other self-help material for staff and students regarding the SUNLearn learning management platform as well as SUNOnline;
- Providing design and system administration for the Telematic Schools Project's learning management support (Moodle-based).

- Verskaf gespesialiseerde digitale assesseringsteun aan die fakulteite, departemente en dosente ten opsigte van gehaltebeheer, riglyne oor beste praktyk in ooreenstemming met die US se assesseringstrategie en die koördinering van die assesseringskalender
- Verskaf gespesialiseerde ondersteuning vir gevorderde gebruikers van HTML en ander webgebaseerde tale op die leerbestuursplatforms;
- Skakel met en verwys ondersteuningskaartjies oor probleemoplossing en die ondersoek van ingewikkelde tegniese navrae (Vlak 2 en op) na die IT-Afdeling;
- Verskaf geskeduleerde opleidingswerksessies, een-tot-een-sessies, en ook departementele werksessies oor SUNLearn
- en SUNOnline-leerbestuurstelsels en ander steun leertegnologieë aan;
- Skep digitale gebruikersgidse en ander selfhelpmateriaal vir personeel en studente ten opsigte van die SUNLearn-leerbestuurstelsel en ook SUNOnline;
- Raadpleeg doserende personeel om funksionaliteite van SUNLearn en SUNOnline en ander steun tegnologieë uit te ken en toe te pas om spesifieke leer
- en onderrigdoelwitte en -uitkomste te bereik;
- Die ontwerp en stelseladministrasie van die Telematiese Skoleprojek se leerbestuurstelselondersteuning (Moodle-gebaseerd).

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- At least a relevant NQF level 5 qualification with at least three years' relevant experience within a technical helpdesk support environment;
- Excellent interpersonal and reading, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with individuals at management and other levels, both internally and externally;
- High-level proficiency in learning management systems (preferably Moodle) regarding the front end as well as the site administration interface;
- Intermediate working knowledge of HTML, as well as other relevant web-based languages (e.g. CSS and PHP) and how they are used within a learning management system environment (such as the Moodle editor);
- Proven ability to work well in a team but also independently;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
- Excellent time management skills, accuracy and the ability to work effectively under pressure;
- The ability to act with integrity and maintain confidentiality.

- Intermediêre werkende kennis van HTML, en ander tersaaklike webgebaseerde tale (bv. CSS en PHP) en hoe hulle binne 'n leerbestuurstelselomgewing (bv. Moodle) gebruik word;
- Bewese vermoë om goed in 'n span, maar ook onafhanklik, te werk;
- Uitstekende analitiese en probleemoplossingsvaardighede;
- Uitstekende tydsbestuursvaardighede, akkuraatheid en die vermoë om doeltreffend onder druk te werk;
