Duties/Pligte The meaningful integration of learning technologies in programmes and modules in partnership with Faculties. This includes support for quality teaching, learning and assessment (T-L-A) and for the professional development of academics, with a focus on the use of learning technologies in T-L-A (including blended
- and online learning).

**Duties will include**:

- Collaborating with colleagues on Centre and institutional projects;
- Closely cooperating with Faculties;
- Providing advice, support and training to lecturers;
- Monitoring, evaluating and researching;
- Designing digital learning and teaching resources;
- Providing technical and administrative support relating to projects and training;
- Developing and managing a professional learning design service in the Centre with the focus on fully online/ blended learning modules or programmes;
- Coordinating the Centre's webpage and digital resources;
- A focus on the development of and research on the CLT and SU's approach to Open Educational Resources and Practices (OERs and OEPs) is also envisaged.

**Pligte sal insluit**:

- Samewerking met kollegas op Sentrum en institusionele projekte;
- Noue samewerking met Fakulteite;
- Die voorsiening van advies, ondersteuning en opleiding aan dosente;
- Monitering, evaluering en navorsing;
- Ontwerp van digitale leer en onderrig materiaal;
- Bied tegniese en administratiewe ondersteuning verwant aan projekte en opleiding;
- Bestuur 'n leerontwerpfunksie binne die Sentrum met 'n fokus op volledige aanlyn of gemengdeleer modules of programme;
- Die koördinering van die Sentrum se webblad en digitale hulpbronne;
- 'n Fokus op die ontwikkeling van en navorsing oor die SLT en US se benadering tot Oop Opvoedkundige Bronne en Praktye (OERs en OEPs) word ook voorsien.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Master's degree in education, academic development, or learning technologies in education;
- Three years' working experience in academic development in the South African higher education sector with a focus on the integration of learning technologies in Teaching-Learning-Assessment (e.g. blended learning, online learning, etc.);
- Experience and proficiency in the use and pedagogical support of a learning management system as well as other learning technologies;
- Experience in the design and development of courses that are fully online;
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills in the context of a team;
- Project management experience;
- Proven experience in the design of digital educational content (e.g., videos, SCORMs, podcasts, interactive digital content);
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g.. learning management systemssuch as Moodle, the Office suite, the Adobe suite, Camtasia, iSpring, etc.);
- Proven scholarly and critical-reflective orientation towards learning technologies (e.g., publications and conference presentations).
- Meestersgraad in opvoedkunde, akademiese ontwikkeling, of leertegnologieë in opvoedkunde;
- Drie jaar se werkservaring in akademiese ontwikkeling in die Suid-Afrikaanse hoëronderwys sektor met die fokus op die integrasie van leertegnologieë in Onderrig-Leer-Assessering (bv., gemengdeleer, aanlynleer, ens.);
- Ervaring en vaardigheid in die gebruik en pedagogiese ondersteuning van 'n leerderondersteuningsestuurstelsel sowel as ander leertegnologieë;
- Ervaring in die ontwerp en ontwikkeling van kursusse wat ten volle aanlyn is;
- Uitstekende mondelinge-, aanbiedings
- en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
- Sterk interpersoonlike vaardighede in die konteks van 'n span;
- Projekbestuur ervaring;
- Bewese vaardigheid in die ontwerp van digitale onderrig en leermateriaal (bv., videos, SCORM, potgooie, interaktiewe digitale materiaal);
- Vaardigheid intoepaslike sagteware (bv., leerderondersteuning bestuurstelsels soos Moodle, die Office pakket, die Adobe pakket, Camtasia, iSpring, ens.);
- Bewese navorsings-ondersteunde akademiese en krities-reflektiewe oriëntasie rakende leertegnologieë (soos publikasies en konferensieaanbiedinge).

- Experience of teaching in higher education;
