Methys Group is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team based in Century City, Western Cape, South Africa.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help distribute marketing materials
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)
- Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
- Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content
- Creating and executing content strategy for all the Methys group entities: daily social media, weekly newsletters, weekly blogs, weekly podcasts, and regular press releases
- Manage social media and web channels to amplify content
- Creating content for all digital platforms: website, startup portal, AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles, podcasts, weekly Wired newsletters)
- Using the designated Brand Guidelines - designing all materials used for communication, and overall brand auditing and ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
- Liaising with media on distributing content such as press releases
- Playing a key role in authoring qualitative research reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the African ecosystem
- Tracking and analysis of campaign performance

Your Profile
- Marketing Degree - graduate
- Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
- Flexible work schedule
- Ability to multitask and take initiative
- Hardworking and dedicated outlook
- Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding multitasking abilities
- Must have a passion for marketing

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Century City, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
