Learning Management System Administrator

Richfield is looking for a well-organized, energetic, and dynamic **Learning Management System Administrator **to actively provide technical leadership in support of the institution’s learning management system and provide support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of content, assets and other resources used for instructional functions.
**The role includes but not limited to**:
- Creation, deletion and updating of student and staff accounts.
- Management of online assessments
- Provide staff training resources/support
- Formatting and uploading online content
- Develop eLearning and training resources (user guides) for online access by staff and students.
- Assist in Creation/update of LMS Lesson content, activities, videos, PowerPoints and exam focus areas for modules.
- Provide training to both staff and students as and when required
- Student account/assessment updates to be done at the end of every semester in preparation for the upcoming study period.
- Assessments moved online
- Student accounts updates to be done per semester.
- Use of Excel to bulk upload new LMS Registrations
- Assist and Respond to student enquiries daily.
- Keep track of student access requests from the various Departments - as well as system usage reporting.
- Backup and restore of modules when it comes to shared modules over our various LMS instances.
- Assist in Management of online assessments:
- To update MCQ’s in preparation for online assessments.
- Uploading quizzes and written assessments to HET & SLP instances.
- CA Tests are run 4 times a year, 2 per semester, these CA Tests have extended reassessment periods for students who have missed these papers due to various circumstances.
- HET Online Final Exams are run 2 times a year, 1 per semester.
- HET Online Supplementary Exams are run 2 times a year, 1 per semester.
- To ensure that these assessments are secure. Sessions are password protected.
- To download and distribute online assessment results to the respective departments.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an LMS administrator or in similar position
- Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors
- Ability to gain new technical skills quickly
- Customer service skills, responsive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms
- Familiarity with course design and development

- Bsc IT
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
