Key Responsibilities

1. Prospecting and Lead Generation

Identify and target potential clients in industries such as municipal water management, utilities, agriculture, and commercial real estate. Research and Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunity.

2. Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to understand their water metering needs and provide customized solutions that are sustainable and profitable for both customer and company. Conduct regular client meetings, presentation, and product demonstration. Conduct regular client meetings, presentation, and product demonstrations to showcase our technology and value proposition.

3. Sales Process Management

Prepare and deliver compelling sales, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and customer support, to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and customer satisfaction.

4. Customer Support

Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale, including troubleshooting technical issues, addressing inquiries, and facilitating product training when needed. Ensure hig levels of customer satisfaction and retention through pro-active communication and responsiveness. Responsible for both new sales and aftersales of meters, solutions, and services for the appointed Accounts. Responsible for the partner cooperation towards Key Account.

5. Sales Performance and Reporting

Track and analyse sales metrics including pipeline activity, win/loss rations and revenue forecast. Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunity.

- Education Background
- Matric
- Bachelor Level: Commercial education combined with strong technical interest or Technical education combined with strong commercial mindset or +5 years’ experience in technical solution BtoB sales.
- Work experience
- +5 Years experience in technical solution BtoB sales.
- Computer Literate.
- Technical knowledge about solutions and & preferably electricity and water meters.
- Knowledge and skills required
- Experience working with customers in large global companies as well as small medium sizes companies.
- Technical knowledge about solution and preferably electricity and water meters.
- Contract Management capabilities.
- Solution selling or corresponding sales approach.
- Fluent in one South African language in addition to English - oral & written.
- It would be advantageous to possess knowledge and experience of smart metering.
- Knowledge of pre-paid metering technologies.
