- The dynamic and visionary Head of Brand will lead the brand strategy and position Sanlam as the brand most Africans trust to help them live with financial confidence.- Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the Group Brand and Marketing strategy in line with business aspirations, and creating a compelling narrative that communicates the unique value proposition of the Sanlam brand as well as our new fintech offering. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative brand campaigns, establish consistent brand messaging, and oversee the creative direction across various marketing channels.-
- Core Outputs/Tasks- Development and implementation of the Group Brand and Marketing strategy to strengthen brand positioning, in line with business goals, values and aspirations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of the brand messaging across all touchpoints.
- Champion brand guidelines and standards to maintain brand integrity and coherence across all communications.
- Leading the conceptualisation and implementation of integrated brand marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and acquisition.
- Managing strategic relationships with external partners like creative and media agencies while building and maintaining strong internal relationships with Heads of Marketing and other key stakeholders across the business and clusters.
- Monitor market trends and consumer insights to adapt the brand strategy and stay ahead of the industry.
- Ongoing measurement and tracking of brand performance to drive continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in brand and marketing, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- The leadership, mentorship, and development of a diverse high-performance team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Effective management of the brand budget.

- Qualification and Experience- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business or related fields.
- 10 years+ experience in brand and marketing including 5 years in a management role.
- Experience in tech or fintech industries a plus.
