As a Country Sales Manager, you will manage and direct the activities for the Eaton Electrical sector's Sales Operation in the Country, providing business and operational leadership to the sales team and associated support functions.

You will act as the senior Eaton sales representative in the Country providing inspirational leadership to employees internally and as an ambassador for Eaton externally. This role is responsible for achieving South Africa P&L targets ensuring Eaton meets the agreed budget targets for sales growth, margins and cost. The geographical responsibility is South Africa and countries in the region of Southern and East Africa.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as a role model in line with Eaton's ethical standards of conduct and Eaton's leadership values and attributes
- Analyse market data, trends, and customer needs to align with executive management concerning market opportunities and threats along with that long-term organizational strategy and to implement operational plans to execute the sales strategy
- Maintain and build positive relations with necessary market parties and the relevant internal sales organizations and business units
- Assess the effects of changes within the organizational strategy and acting upon them to ensure business security and competitive advantage
- Manage the strategic country operating planning process
- Collaborate with the Segment and Channel Sales Management Team and Business Units to align on the strategy for the country
- Manage sales plans by developing and assess individual or team targets, support and motivate sales representatives in achieving their plans
- Analysis, reporting evaluation, and development of KPIs aligned to the Profit Plan and Strategic Plan for short, mid and long-term adjustments
- Maintain Sales Reports as required and using Eaton Business System leadership processes for the sales organization
- Keep good customer contacts and build closer relationships with Eaton South Africa key accounts to develop the market position further for growth
- Negotiate and influence at the executive and management level resulting in contracts and agreements
- Support sales managers while supporting (key) customer negotiations
- Initiate, develop, and implement sales-oriented customer events, activities, campaigns, company and product presentations, and trade fairs
- Focus on developing and winning new customers across Eaton businesses
- Initiate collaborations in sales activities within Eaton, resulting in synergy sales and new business
- Direct the Country Sales Operation activities within the country to drive Eaton's strategic and commercial goals as set by joint planning
- Provide operational leadership to the Country Sales Organization
- Collaboration
- Liaise with the other senior leaders in the country to ensure the smooth collaboration between the sales organization, plant, and service organization to deliver the target KPIs
- Act as Eaton's nominated legal representative and Managing Director for South Africa legal entity
- Work in cooperation with multiple Business Units and Eaton departments, putting Eaton's overall interest above immediate local benefit
- Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth, including possible acquisitions and partnerships, bringing them to the attention of the relevant central team for further investigation or growth plan
- Build Organizational Capability by developing competencies as well as identifying talent gaps
- Develop succession pipe for generational growth and develop cadence to ensure critical roles are covered on yearly bases.

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree, preferably based on business or engineering acumen, preferred MBA or MA
- 10 - 15 years of experience, minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Sales and Leadership role with proven track record of achieving business success as a Sales leader
- Solid experience in the South African electrical market
- Strong organizational capability, enabling cross-functional collaboration, and experience in driving change management
- Proven business success in managing sales teams and achieving profitable growth
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and international environments
- Fluent English language
