**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a meticulous and tech-savvy **Hotel Revenue and Systems Administrator** to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing revenue management processes, maintaining hotel systems, and optimizing operational efficiencies through data-driven strategies. You will work closely with the revenue management team to maximize profitability, ensure accurate system configurations, and enhance the overall guest experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Revenue Management Support**: Assist in the development and execution of pricing strategies, monitor competitor rates, and analyze market trends to optimize revenue.
- ** System Administration**: Manage and maintain hotel property management systems (PMS), booking engines, and channel management systems, ensuring accuracy and seamless integration across platforms.
- ** Data Analysis**: Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports on occupancy, room rates, and revenue performance. Provide insights to the Revenue Manager to inform strategic decisions.
- ** Inventory Management**: Ensure accurate inventory distribution across all channels, preventing overbooking and maximizing room availability.
- ** Rate Optimization**: Regularly update room rates and availability on all online distribution channels, ensuring parity and competitiveness across platforms.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with the sales, reservations, and operations teams to ensure alignment between system settings and guest bookings.
- ** Training and Support**: Provide training to staff on the use of systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- ** System Updates**: Stay up to date on the latest updates and improvements to revenue management and property management systems, implementing changes as necessary.
- ** Reporting**: Create detailed reports on revenue performance, system utilization, and opportunities for improvement, sharing insights with the management team.
**Qualifications**:
- ** Matric (Grade 12)** or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in **revenue management** or **systems administration** within the hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with property management systems (PMS), revenue management systems (RMS), and online booking platforms (e.g., OTA’s, channel managers).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
