**Key Responsibilities**:
As the Head of Sales - Africa, you will play a crucial role in positioning Valor's managed hotels in the marketplace and achieving optimum occupancy rates. Working closely with the Director of Operations and Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing strategies to increase direct bookings
- Setting and exceeding targets for key accounts in various markets
- Managing online reputation effectively
- Enhancing and managing repeat guest programs
- Leading and motivating sales teams
- Creating an internal sales culture across hotel teams
- Ensuring accuracy of key account and supplier sales programs and databases
- Adhering to rate integrity and pricing strategies
- Monitoring and improving occupancy percentage and average daily rate
- Managing cost of distribution budgets
- Qualifications and Experience:
- To excel in this role, you should possess:
**Requirements**:
- A degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management / Financial Management
- Extensive background in Sales and Marketing
- 5 years of experience in sales management of branded or luxury hotels
- Proficiency in Up-Sell and Cross-Sell strategies
- Ability to analyze market data and create market studies
- Proficiency in property-specific reservations and revenue software
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of financial best practices
- Proficiency in managing various booking channels
- Familiarity with hospitality industry terminology
