**Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Conference and Events Coordinator**

**Luxury Hotel - Cape Town - Western Cape**

Our client, a 4-star Hotel In Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Conference and Events Coordinator that can successfully plan and execute a wide variety of events, ensuring client satisfaction and hotel profitability.

**Requirements**:

- A diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred
- Previous experience in event planning and conferencing within a hotel is essential
- Experience working with large groups and coordinating various aspects of an event, such as food service, décor and logistics
- Knowledge of PMS and POS is required
- Understanding menus, food service styles and beverage pairing is necessary
- Experience in managing event budgets, including negotiating contracts and controlling costs, is an asset.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events, deadlines and tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle last minute changes, unexpected issues or special requests with creativity and professionalism
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team
- Efficient time management and the ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays depending on the event schedule
- Ability to handle the physical demands of setting up and coordinating events, which may involve long hours on your feet and lifting or moving equipment
- Strong negotiation skills

**Package**
- Salary: R18 000
