Responsible for managing and driving sales performance through retail channels in the SMB space. This will include expanding relationships with key channel partners and identifying new business opportunities. Managing SMB consultants within iStores nationwide to achieve planned targets/objectives.

**Educational**:

- Matric
- Relevant tertiary degree/qualification

**Experience Required**:

- 5 years+ experience in a Channel Manager or Retail Management role
- Sales and business development experience within the technology/retail industry
- Retail experience highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience with securing deals and negotiations
- Excellent sales and administrative skills
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in business-to-business (B2B) sales

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sales**
- Achievement of sell in and sell out targets;
- Negotiate terms and conditions;
- Develop and manage account plans for key partners;
- Maintain correct volume and mix of stock internally and externally;
**Customer Relationships**
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with retail partners and OEM’s;
- Align strategic objectives of OEM’s, distributor and partners;
- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs;
- Ensures compliance with partner agreements

**Business Development**
- Identification and development of new opportunities within approved partner network;
- Expansion of partner network within approved guidelines;
- Research and build relationships with new clients;
- Develop proposals that meet with the clients needs, concerns and objectives;
- Analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential opportunities for execution;
**Human Resources**
- Provide day to day leadership for direct reports;
- Recruit and select required calibre of employees;
- Create an environment for individual growth and development;
**Finance and Administration**
- Detailed reporting of partner performance at POS level per partner, on a weekly basis;
- Give input on budget parameters to maximise profitability of business unit;
- Deal structuring;
- Negotiating of terms

**Key Competencies**:

- Possess excellent leadership skills and promote teamwork amongst staff
- Excellent communication and people skills - ability to communicate effectively across a variety of levels
- Good industry and product knowledge
- Proactive and self motivated

**N.B. Must be flexible and willing to travel as a key function of this role will include travel to iStores around the country
