Account Executive - HORECA Channel Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue through effective channel management and customer engagement.

About the Role:

As an Account Executive, you will have primary responsibility for managing relationships with hotels, restaurants, and other on-trade outlets in the Pretoria area. Your goal will be to increase brand availability and sales volumes across these channels, while also enhancing brand visibility and equity.

To achieve this, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and develop targeted strategies to meet these demands. You will also be responsible for executing promotions and brand initiatives that align with company standards, and monitor ROI to optimize results.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with key customers in the HORECA channel, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and implement channel-specific plans to drive brand availability and sales volume growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of promotions and brand initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to optimize promotional ROI and inform future business decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales performance

Requirements:

  • 3-year tertiary education (beneficial)
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in FMCG or Food & Beverage, specifically in the HORECA/formal on-trade channel
  • Sales experience within the region is required
  • Product and service knowledge, as well as understanding of category management principles
  • Computer literacy and ability to conceptualize and negotiate
  • Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and ability to work independently using initiative

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of R650,000 - R850,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including a full company car, fuel card, medical aid, pension, and quarterly incentives.
