**ROLE**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Manage the recruitment process, interview, shortlist applicants.
- Prepare job descriptions and job adverts
- Process payroll and benefits for employees
- Manage collation of data for BBBEE submission
- Assist the HR Manager to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate Employee relations
- Compile all necessary Human Resources reporting for the business unit.
- Manage industrial relation queries on a daily basis and assist managers with disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure legislative compliance (i.e., BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA).
- Conduct a Skills Gap Analysis to ensure that effective training planning and development.
- Compile and process the WSP and EE reports
- Ensure compliance in matters of Health and Safety.
- Perform general administration duties for the Human Resources Manager as and when required
- Ensure departmental compliance with ISO standards within the fields of HR and Health & Safety.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant HR diploma / degree and proven experience as HR officer within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Working knowledge of HR practices, BCEA, and LRA as well as statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office; advanced working knowledge of excel and power point and payroll packages (Payspace).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Attention to detail and good judgement
- Strong ethics and reliability, discretion and able to always maintain confidentiality.
- Work under pressure when required and be available to work overtime when required.
- Excellent command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Own reliable transport.
