Valor Hospitality Partners is is representing a Boutique 5-star property in the Eastern Cape, based in Cape Town Waterfront. We are currently recruiting for an EXPERIENCED HOTEL SALES EXECUTIVE to join their dynamic team.

Detail:
**Job Purpose**:

- _The Sales Executive represents the business in the market place and acts as the principal liaison between Operations and 3rd Party Distributors (OTA’s, STO’s, Wholesalers, PCO’s, Travel Agents)._
- The role involves positioning the business and its services in the marketplace to maximize occupancy at the highest possible rate. Collaborating closely with the relevant Department Teams, you will ensure a coordinated effort between Sales, Reservations, and Operations, conducting comprehensive site surveys at the organization’s properties.
- Additionally, you will deliver up-to-date service, rate, and promotional/campaign information to 3rd Party Distributors, Consortia, OTA’s, and PCA’s for inclusion in their marketing materials.
- Your active participation in trade shows and sales events will promote and sell the hotel and its services.

- Customer Related:

- Sales Call reports
- Successful Complaint Resolution ratio
- Repeat guest ratio
- People Related:

- Coaching property employees on selling, up-sell, and cross-sell techniques
- Process Related:

- Completeness of call sheets and supplier contact and preference information
- Accuracy and completeness of Supplier Contracts
- Adherence to Rate and Offering information distribution deadlines
- Finance Related:

- Occupancy Percentage (KPI shared with Revenue & Reservations Manager)
- Average Daily Rate (KPI shared with Revenue & Reservations Manager)
- Cost of Distribution
- Booking status: Tentative to Confirmed ratio (KPI shared with Revenue and Reservations Manager)

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- General Responsibilities:

- Manage processes and systems to facilitate sales generation and guest accommodation at the highest standards.
- Utilize property management software to monitor guest preferences and develop sales and promotional strategies.
- Respond to enquiries and generate accurate quotations within specified time frames.
- Assist in correct contracting with 3rd Party distributors and commission structures.
- Produce accurate revenue reports and sales activity reports.
- Take responsibility for the performance of the Sales functions of the hotel.
- Attend trade shows and sales events to showcase the Group to the market.
- Conduct site inspections at the hotel as required.
- Customer Specific Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with 3rd Party Distributors to deliver world-class service to guests.
- Ensure policies and processes reflect guest safety, security concerns, and preferences.
- Implement processes and systems for highly personalized service by the Sales team.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and security of information.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Hospitality Management/Financial Management will secure.
- 5 years of experience in Sales operations at a luxury 4/5-star hotel.
- Proficient in Up-Sell, Cross-Sell, and market data analysis.
- Strong communication skills in English.

**Desired Skills and Qualities**:

- High levels of abstract reasoning and strategic thinking.
- Fluency in at least one second official language and an international language.
- Extensive background in Sales and Marketing.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in ambiguous environments.
