Overview
A large packaging company in Johannesburg is looking to hire an HR Officer to serve, govern and look after the wellbeing of the stakeholders. Provide strategic and operational
services and advice across all aspects of HR including workforce planning, recruitment, employee
relations, performance management, salary review, engagement, inclusion & diversity, recognition,
talent management and learning & development.
**Salary**: Negotiable plus benefits
Duties and Responsibility:
- Guide management to ensure healthy people practices in the workplace.
- Resolve conflict in the workplace by means of facilitation and conciliation.
- Manage the administration function in regards to Recruitment and Selection, Induction and
Disciplinary processes.
- Responsible for all HR monthly reporting.
- Assist in health and safety and reporting.
- Responsible for maintaining current and creation of new job descriptions.
- Represent the company at the CCMA i.e., Conciliation and Arbitration.
- Labour Relations and disciplinary (including disciplinary process, procedural issues, and
recommended sanctions).
- Assist with employee benefits including medical aid and pension fund.
- Ensure established standard recruiting practices and procedures are followed.
- Works with outsourcing providers to optimise cost-savings and service effectiveness.
- Ensures that recruitment turnaround times are met.
- Conduct on boarding of new employees and conducts exit interviews.
- Challenge the status quo, manages circumstances and helps other to adapt to their changing
environment.
- Communicates Human Resources policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure general staff wellbeing and support through the Wellness Programme.
- Coordinate training programs in conjunction with training providers in support of business
needs.
- Collates regular or ad hoc HR metric reports, including headcount and turnover, in support
of business needs.

**Qualifications**:
- Matric
- HR Diploma/Degree
- 3 years experience in HR
- MS Office
