- Purpose of Position:
- Support the day to day contract execution for the assigned geographic and/or customer portfolio. This role is responsible for customer CFC and debtor compliance, contract delivery/KPIs, requests for pricing and contract variations. It is the key site customer interface and provides demand (S&OP and financial forecast) and market opportunity (lead generation/tender pipeline) information to Marketing, Supply Chain, Development & Engineering and Field Operations- Key Accountabilities:
**Sales, Marketing & Commercial Management**
- Execute the defined commercial strategy for assigned geographic and/or customer portfolio.
- Assist with bid tender preparation, negotiation and contract finalisation for assigned geographic and/or customer portfolio.
- Develop and maintain key customer account plans and relationships for new and existing business.
- Ensure weekly supply, financial and operational forecasting is conducted and provided to relevant departments.
- Attend face to face customer meetings, and participate in Customer Site Risk Reviews as scheduled.
- Ensure stock takes and cycle counts are completed on a regular basis for all products stored on Customer sites.
- Provide support for pull testing as required.
- Respond to, and escalate where appropriate, customer issues/feedback and implement agreed resolutions.
- Actively identify and communicate business development opportunities for product or service differentiation.
- Assist manage the introduction of new products, services and technologies, including customer trials, to market.
- Support customer invoicing, including rise and fall implementation in accordance with established contract terms.
- Liaise with Finance and Customer Service teams to ensure debtor compliance to agreed terms, and liaise with customer to collect payment for outstanding debt.
- Provide input into pricing strategies for the company's products and services.
- Respond to ad-hoc customer requests for pricing using ExcelPoint and ensure compliance with minimum margin requirements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and contribute to marketing strategies to differentiate product and service offering.
- Pass on technical knowledge to other team members, including operations, to ensure their skills are developed and enhanced.
- Provide feedback to the line manager on improvements in operating procedures / systems, including of plant, equipment, materials and tools used by the operational crews to maximise services or output to Customer.
- Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with the company's Values, policies and Code of Conduct.
- Document all customer interaction that require follow up, load to sharepoint for future reference. Establish timely action plan should there be follow up actions from the customer interaction.
- Actively plan, modify plans to aid in achieving business EBIT and TWC targets.
- Maintain and develop key customer relationships and lead major negotiations for new business and retention of existing business
- Safety, Health and Environment:
- Identify hazards and employ risk control techniques.
- Hazchem Knowledge related to injection chemicals, ventilation and secondary support materials.
- Comply with the Orica Safety Charter.
- Comply with site, personnel and equipment safety requirements.
- Recognise and respond to hazardous and emergency situations in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and/or site procedures.
- Ensure all unusual or quality incidents, injuries or near misses are reported immediately
- Ensure management of change and control processes are in place and utilised for new product initiatives, e.g. trials
- Metrics:
**Sales, Marketing & Commercial Management**
- % Gross Margin achieved.
- Revenue planned vs actual.
- Debtor compliance, no outstanding debt >60 days.
- CFC delivery to forecast.
- Contract KPIs met.
- Customer Site Risk Reviews completed to schedule.
- Positive feedback from Site Customer (Net Promotor Score) and Senior Manager - Sales & Services.
- TWC, DSO compliance to budget
**Safety, Health and Environment**
- Site Safety Management Plans completed and recorded in Enablon.
- Incidents reported, investigated and actioned through to completion in a timely manner.
- Major Hazard Program and Key Control Verifications completed to schedule**Inherent Requirements**
- Critical Experience and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, engineering or related discipline preferred but not essential maybe offset by relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial/sales/business development experience, preferably within the resources sector or similar.
