The **Medical Bureau Accounts Administrator** position will be responsible for managing the billing, accounts receivable, and collections processes for a medical billing bureau. Duties include submitting claims to medical aids, insurance providers, posting payments, resolving billing issues, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong accounting and numerical skills, as well as the ability to quickly learn new software and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform diary and theatre billing for general practitioners and some specialist practices
- Provide cost estimates and cost analysis of errors on medical aid remittances and allocate payments accordingly
- Submit claims to medical aids and allocate medical aid remittances via ERA (electronic remittance advice) system
- Handle patient account queries
- Follow up on outstanding accounts, short payments (including PMBs), and claim rejections (PMB management)
- Reconcile bank account payments and remittances
- Conduct medical aid and patient age analysis
- Review bad debts and follow up on outstanding patient bills
- Calculate assistant payments
- Attend weekly status meetings

**Requirements**:

- Matric certificate
- Minimum 5 years of debtors and collections experience
- Experience with general practitioner billing
- Experience working on Healthbridge would be beneficial (or other Medical software VeriClaim, GoodX, Med Edi/Practice Perfect, and Elixir)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and cope in a fast-paced environment
- Fully bilingual
- Knowledge of Xero, Hubdoc or Efiling software advantageous

**Working Conditions**:
Own transport required, able to work at a home-based office in Stellenbosch

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
