**_ Position Purpose:_**
To design and implement the change management integrated strategy for Transnet
Port Terminals (TPT) that is aligned with the support and corporate strategy. To
guide and lead TPT change initiatives in order to achieve optimum performance,
value and instil a culture of service delivery and excellence. Operates at the very
heart of the organisation’s effectiveness to deliver consistent, coherent, and
structured approach to programme and project delivery across the organisation. The
position is responsible for driving Performance Management and Employment Equity
initiatives across the business.
**_ Position outputs:_**
1. The role will oversee the formulation and implementation of policies and
procedures, systems, tools and other mechanisms to ensure that the change
practices optimally lead to organisational transformation which will assist the
business with the achievement of strategic objectives.
2. Own and manage resources and is accountable for the programme delivery,
embedding quality through a culture of continuous improvement and driving
pragmatic best practice in all change and transformation programme delivery.
3. Provide TPT Leadership with technical support and guidance on how to implement
key culture and change initiatives in their specific functional units.
4. Provide strategic input and recommendations into continuous
business/operational improvement and planning of culture, leadership
development and risk initiatives.
5. Compile a comprehensive budget indicating the financial requirements for the
function in accordance with the budgeting guidelines and monitor expenditure
against the budget and ensure that spending occurs within the restrictions.
6. Identify risks and mitigating actions specific to various functions and elevate key
risks to the GM-PM /EXCO as required for further auctioning and for purposes of
policy review or recommendations.
7. Deliver demonstrable business value through the successful alignment of all
strategic programme investments.
8. Pro-actively identify opportunities to manage, enhance and utilise project
resources in the successful delivery of commercially critical business & IT
solutions.
9. Drive Performance Management across the Operating Division:
- Ensure that Performance Management systems are implemented at all
levels of the organisation.
- Liaise with the Remuneration and Benefits department to align
performance to salaries and benefits.
- Ensure performance enhancement programs are implemented for poor
performers.
10. Develop and drive the implementation of Employment Equity, Diversity, Inclusion
and Transformation programmes:
- Develop and drive implementation of short, medium and long term
targets.
- Develop and implement programs to support achievement of targets
referred to above.
11. Lead and manage the Change Management and Transformation department:
- Ensure adequate resources to deliver department objectives
- Talent management and succession planning
- Mentoring and coaching
- Management of discipline and grievances
- Performance development
- Reward and recognition management
- Training and development
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences/ Psychology or related field of study.
- Post graduate qualification will be an advantage.
- Extensive experience (10-12 years) in the field of Change Management of which at least 5 years should be at management
level in the specific field of expertise.
- Extensive experience in managing transformation programs at all levels on organisation.
Alternatively:
National Diploma in Industrial / Behavioural Psychology or related field.
12 to 15 years relevant and solid experience in leading a group by managing operational teams maintaining quality, service
and desired outputs related to a work area, ensuring compliance with a set policy, procedures and standards; or provides
