National Key Account Manager Healthcare

We are looking for a National Key Account Manager, who is an expert of Supply Chain and understands the Pharma & Healthcare industry.
- ** Your Role **:The National Key Account Manager Healthcare maintains a direct selling role with South African based key accounts in the Healthcare Vertical. Develops a mix of global and local accounts with a pre-defined portfolio by liaising with counterparts in other Regions, the Global Industry Champion and all business field stakeholders in South Africa. Develops industry specific business development competence in South Africa. Directly responsible for upselling and cross selling across all Kuehne+Nagel services (excluding Contract Logistics) on all accounts within the assigned Vertical and contributes overall knowledge and market intelligence.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:
- Develop industry specific business development competence in South Africa, and attend industry specific conferences and events.
- Retain and grow the value of the key customers in terms of: overall turnover and volume improvement, maintain/grow profitability of key customers, and opportunity development of all Kuehne+Nagel's core services
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders, and engagement of key customers in any of Kuehne + Nagel's new product development efforts
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Ensure all information related to the key customers is current and accurate in our CRM system, and that all visibility is maintained for the benefit of all stakeholders; Forecast and track key account metrics, pro-active contribution to the regional KAM team
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers, build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Liaise and meet with operations on customer’s requirements, identify service issues, initiate corrective action and ensure issues are resolved timeously.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
**Your Skills and Experiences**:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or relevant NQF related qualification is essential; Bachelors / First University degree, will be an advantage
- No less than 2 years’ experience in a global, regional or national key account capacity, with proven a record of business development.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the customer vertical - Healthcare. Have proven industry knowledge of the assigned vertical.
- Supply chain management experience, including extensive understanding in 4PL. Have operational experience in one of the core transportation modes.
- Have conducted sales leadership workshops, whiteboard sessions with customers, or process review processes with global customers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills, proven verbal and written communications skills.
- Have a valid driver’s licence #LI-KP1
