**Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Wedding and Events Coordinator for a Luxury Hotel in Cape Town.**

**Minimum Experience and Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Diploma in Hotel Management, Food and Beverage, or Events
- 2 years of experience in wedding/banqueting reservations and operations within a 4* or 5* hotel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as Sales and Catering software
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret budgets, business reports, PNLs, and forecasts
- Highly presentable with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the coordination and execution of weddings and events from conception to completion
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and providing personalized service throughout the planning process
- Coordinating with various departments within the hotel to ensure seamless execution of events, including catering, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Managing event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure all details are meticulously planned and executed
- Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure venues are set up according to client specifications and hotel standards
- Handling inquiries, reservations, and contracts for weddings and events, and maintaining accurate records
- Providing on-site support during events to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise
