**Kendrick Recruitment **is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic **Assistant Weddings and Events Coordinator** to join our prestigious 5-star luxury hotel on the **Atlantic Seaboard** of **Cape Town. **This iconic destination, renowned for its elegant ambiance, exquisite dining, and personalized service, is looking for an individual dedicated to creating memorable moments and elevating each guest's stay to an unforgettable experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Weddings and Events Coordinator in planning, organizing, and executing weddings and special events at the hotel.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and preferences, ensuring their dream event becomes a reality.
- Coordinate with various departments within the hotel, such as catering, banquets, and guest services, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event logistics, including venue setup, décor, entertainment, and guest accommodations.
- Maintain accurate event records, including guest lists, contracts, and invoices.
- Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address any client inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in conducting site visits and showcasing event venues to prospective clients.
- Help in preparing detailed event itineraries and timelines.
- Participate in post-event evaluations to identify areas of improvement and enhance future events.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Formal qualification in Hotel Management or Event Management, a must.
- 5yrs previous experience in event coordination in uber-luxury hospitality establishment, especially with weddings, is a must.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure flawless event execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients and various hotel departments.
- A positive and solution-oriented mindset to handle unexpected challenges with grace.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and event management software is a plus.
- A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering extraordinary guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events demand.
