We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our Learning and Development team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The main responsibilities of the job include enabling sustainable business and individual performance through the design, development and deployment of fit-for-purpose blended learning solutions to ensure adequate competence of Innovation Group’s Products, Processes and Systems across the different Business Units.

Education
- A Matric Certificate or Equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
- Seta Accredited Facilitator NQF Level 5
- Tertiary Qualification in Business, Social Science, Education or Learning & Development / Human Resources
- EDTP Qualification (Cert, Diploma, Assessor, Moderator Facilitator etc.) NQF Level 6

Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Trainer / Facilitator / Learning and Development specialist within Financial Services, Insurance and / or Contact Centre industry
- Knowledge of learner management systems
- Technical claims knowledge and experience working in an Insurance Claims environment (preferred)

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop and maintain fit-for-purpose product, process and system learning solutions (ensuring that all compliance requirements are met, learning solution are outcomes based)
- Consult with Product Owner and Line Managers to understand business priorities and business unit needs to co-create and agree delivery approach and model
- Collaborate with SME’s, product owners and compliance representatives to ensure that learning solutions meet requirements and are up to date prior to deployment
- Obtain feedback from stakeholders re the experience and appropriateness of the delivery of product, process, systems and related learning interventions to drive agility and continuous improvement
- Ensure that all learning solutions meet regulatory requirements as well as Innovation Group’s learning minimum standards
- Develop and deploy adequate competence requirements and refresher framework for area of responsibility
- Conduct learning needs analysis with HR Business Partners, and Line Managers
- Conduct skills gap analyses for relevant business areas
- Ensure that all coaching gaps are closed on all levels in the business
- Develop and deploy appropriate assessments and measurement practices aimed at improving employee and workplace performance
- Ensure in-training as well 30, 60 and 90 day performance milestones are met by employees and are aligned to required business outputs and benchmarks
