Umbrella Fund Administrator

An Investment Administrator in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town is looking for an experienced Umbrella Funds Administrator to join the Administrative team. The company is a registered Section 13B administrator and provides their clients with the admin management of their Life Policies and Retirement Funds. The role of the Umbrella Funds Administrator is to take responsibility for all processing and client service activities relating to the umbrella funds.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Investment Administration company with a reputation for providing trusted expertise in all areas pertaining to Asset Management, Fund Administration and Stockbroking.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Matric & Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Economics/Accounting
- Related experience in a similar Umbrella / EB fund administration environment with knowledge of products and the rules of the Pension Funds Act
- Strong MS Office Skills, specifically Excel
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Checking the product inflow accounts daily and performing reconciliation of product bank accounts.
- Processing contributions received from our participating employers as well as liaising with members, consultants/advisors and participating employer representatives
- Preparing special rules; rule amendments and ad-hoc communication to be uploaded to the FSCA website.
- Validating and processing new investments, switches, retirements; retrenchments; divorce orders; resignations; retrenchments; disability; death claims and static detail changes on the administration system as well as the online banking platform.
- Processing relevant month end administrative tasks, for example, admin and advisor fees, and SARS payments.
- Processing Section 14 transfers as needed both in and out for individual members and participating employers.
