Legal Consultant

- _Review and provide legal advice on._
- _Review ongoing cases and advise management accordingly._
- _Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken._
- _Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management._
- _Provide and interpret legal information._
- _Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures._
- _Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements._
- _Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers._
- _**Regulatory compliance**_
- _Formulate compliance check-lists to be used for the purpose of ensuring company policies, procedures and process are correctly managed and governed._
- _Ensure system integrity in regards to master data._
- _Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly._
- _Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously._
- _Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues._
- _Draft, modify and implement company policies._
- _Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks._
- _Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training._
- _Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control._
- _Prepare weekly for the department for executive management meetings._
- _Review all contracts or any other documentation where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention._
- _Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities_
