Tax Specialist

**Introduction**
Ariston Global, an award winning international advisory firm, requires a Tax Specialist to be based at its offices in Bryanston (Johannesburg). The incumbent must meet the minimum criteria as set out below. Applications that do not meet the minimum criteria shall be disqualified from the recruitment process.
Understanding the process for all Tax types up to tax court as well as ADR.
Manage the entire process until completion.
All functionality.
Research.
Manage SARS compliance submissions.
Ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Living the company values, promoting the company brand.
Process simple ADR’s.
Process simple Objections and submit to line Manager for review.
Submit approved objection or ADR to SARS.
Escalate delays in getting information.
Request Tax Documents for SARS and or Clients.
To ensure Tax Compliance to our client base.
Remind clients about Tax deadlines.
Liaise with SARS on behalf of clients.
Updating job knowledge through active research, reading professional publications, and keeping up to date with Tax trends.
Completing and submitting tax returns (IT12 / IT14).
Submitting Provisional Returns (IRP5).
Submitting Supporting documents to SARS.
Contacting SARS.
Income Tax, VAT, PAYE and registrations.
Attend to all Tax Queries.
Liaised with company's finance/accounting department to gather sufficient information.
Prepared simple tax returns for individuals or small businesses.
Reviewed documents and financial records to determine forms needed to complete tax returns.
Drafted administrative documents to present to SARS.
collect information for tax preparation.
Answer and respond to clients’ inquiries on their tax problems.
Schedule and organize tax works and assignments for tax professionals and practitioners.
Assist and support tax practitioners and professionals in filing tax returns on time.
Organize and manage all tax reports, statements and documents relating to clients.
Assist and support audit team in their tasks of tax audits.
Maintain strict client confidentiality relating to their tax matters.
Adhere to tax professional standards and ethics in tax assistant functions.
Assist tax professionals and tax consultants in handling taxation matters.
Escalate Income Tax Queries.
Capturing and maintenance of client information.
Attendance to Tax clearance certificates.
Handling of SARS correspondence.
and attending meetings with SARS when required.
Create a filing system (electronic and physical).
File documents.
Manage the filing system.
Manage the SARS e-Filling system.
Monthly Client Invoicing.
Monthly Invoice report.
Client Liaison.
Name Changes.
MOI.
Resolutions.
Share Certificates and Register.
Company information Changes.
Manage CIPC Account.
Arrangement of all resources towards achievement of all objectives.
Analysis of information and provisions of insights and recommendations.
Achieve of Revenue Target.
Ensure supplier Service Level Agreement requirements are met.
Identify and take corrective action for legal risk or make recommendations.
Ensure we have a compliance register for statutory obligations and ensure we are both compliant internally and externally, up to date and follow good governance.
Implementation of QMS.
liaising with the Tax Ombudsman
knowledge and experience of Alternate dispute resolution
**Estates and trusts administration**
- Assist manager with Trust Administration - preparation of various trusts and structures registration documentation, drafting of letters and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining and updating trust documentation and records when required, annual review of trust files, forms and other documents and conducting file research as required.
- To assist and lend support to the estate administrator in fulfilling their duties involved in deceased estate administration, this may include dealing with all assets /liabilities, finalising all tax obligations, distribute and finalise the estate after receiving the approval of the High Court, either in terms of a Will or the Intestate Succession Act.
**Experience**
- 3 -5 years’ relevant experience as a Tax Specialist and legal knowledge
**Education**
- A relevant degree/diploma (e.g., Bcom majoring in Tax/Higher diploma in tax)
- Relevant NQF 6 certificates in Taxation
**Requirements**:
- **Exceptionally brilliant verbal and written business English**:
- Own vehicle
- Knowledge of all tax acts (Paja)
