Professional Floor Sales Representative

**Responsibilities**
- Establishes new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade professionals.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Demonstrate flooring samples, explain features and benefits, and address any questions or concerns.
- Assist customers in making informed decisions by presenting competitive pricing and helping them choose the best flooring solution for their specific requirements.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess flooring requirements, measure spaces accurately, and identify potential challenges or constraints.
- Oversee the entire flooring project lifecycle, from initial consultation to final installation and post-project follow-up.
- Collaborate with customers, architects, designers, and contractors to determine project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of flooring materials and manage inventory levels to meet project demands.
- Facilitate communication between customers, installers, and other stakeholders, addressing any issues or changes that arise during the project.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure installations meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Follow up with customers after project completion to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
**Qualifications**
- Grade 12
- A certificate or diploma will be advantageous
- 2 - 3 years of proven experience in flooring or high-end decorative product sales. A good understanding of different flooring types, materials, and installation methods will be an advantage.
- Experience in dealing with architects, interior designers, developers, builders and high-end clients
- Background in project management, demonstrating the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, manage timelines, and handle project budgets.
- Ability to read and understand building plans.
- A motivated individual who can work with sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport with customers and effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations or project sites as needed.
Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
