Principal Professional Officer - Strategy

**Requirements**:

- A relevant post-graduate degree (Master’s degree is

advantageous)
- Six (6) to eight (8) or more years relevant experience

Key Performance Areas
- Facilitate the development, drafting and approval of complex

City-wide strategies
- Support the identification, conceptualisation and delivery of

activities critical to the implementation of City strategies
- Facilitate and drive the establishment of priority work packages

linked to the implementation of City Strategies
- Provide concept support and work with relevant departments to

deliver and report on strategic work packages
- Provide strategic support, advice and counsel to the City’s political

and executive leadership
- Problem solve complex strategy issues
- Meet with internal and external stakeholders to deliver City

strategies
- Establish workgroups, utilise processes, work transversally to support

the development of the City’s strategic eco-system
- Leverage existing City processes, resources and functions to

achieve strategic objectives through targeted interventions
- Perform functions in an acting capacity
