Our client is a financial institution focusing on Short-Term Insurance and based in Sandton. They seek the services of the Underwriter on the ASSISTANT COMPANY SECRETARY.

THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION

**JOB PURPOSE**
- Assist in the facilitation and administration of Company Secretary duties as outlined in the Companies Act and guided by PFMA regulations.
- Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all Executive Committee and Board meetings.
- Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications**
- Relevant Degree / Diploma in Law.
- Completed or Studying towards Chartered Governance Institute of South Africa (CGISA) qualification.

**Experience**

4 years experience in a Secretariat Environment.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**

Meeting management:

- Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all Executive Committee and Board meetings.
- Ensure the correct registration of Directors.
- Assist in recommendation of Directors to the board.
- Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required.

Compliance with regulations
- Adherence to National Treasury compliance dates.
- Requesting information for report to the relevant regulatory bodies.

Query referrals
- Attending to queries in relation to Board and Compliance issues.
- Processing queries.
- Delivering queries to the appropriate person to resolve.

Ad hoc duties
- Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager.

**REMUNERATION**

R500k - R670k p/a CTC, depending on qualifications and experience
