Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition and Management

  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to facilitate the integration of new employees into the organization
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Serve as a trusted adviser to management and employees on HR-related issues, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment
  • Develop and implement Employee engagement initiatives, programs, and events to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and employee satisfaction

  • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to assess the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation and benefits offering
  • HR operations and systems: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Utilize HRIS and other technology platforms to automate HR processes and maintain accurate employee records
  • Track and manage business visa applications and renewals for employees or business visitors and ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Business Administration, or related field: Master’s degree (added advantage)
  • Years of progressive HR experience, with 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulations
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving results and delivering impactful HR initiatives

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties, may be required to regularly stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
  • Personal protective equipment may be required when performing work in an outdoor or plant environment, including a hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
  • The company promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug testing. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a one (1) year contract position, Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
