Client Summary: Our client is a global industry leader in the beverage sector, renowned for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence. They are on the hunt for a strategic and dynamic Head of Sales to steer their international division towards unprecedented growth.
Job Description: Our client is offering an exhilarating opportunity for a Head of Sales to architect and execute a cutting-edge Sales Strategy that propels the company forward. This is a chance to be at the helm of a team that thrives on driving sales & operations planning, trade marketing, revenue margin growth, and sales capability development.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement visionary Trade Marketing and Distribution strategies to conquer diverse markets spanning in excess of 25 countries
- Take charge of RTM setups, active selling, distributor selection, and trade marketing principles.
- Champion sustainable volume growth, incremental profit, and cost optimization through streamlined supply chain structures.
- Lead the development and deployment of Sales, Trade Marketing, and Distribution blueprints.
- Lead and manage high performing teams where you can help build capability.
- Enhance business opportunities by ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in priority markets.
- Align processes in key markets to maintain a competitive edge and establish clear KPIs for informed decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive business performance assessments to refine channel and customer segment strategies.
- Oversee the 'Sales and Operations Planning' (S&OP) process to ensure strategic and operational excellence.
- Ensure robust distributor contracts and service level agreements are in place, tracked, and performance-monitored.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Logistics/Sales and an MBA would be an added advantage.
- Extensive exposure to the liquor and beverages industry is non-negotiable.
- Experience across Africa is essential.
- 8-10 years of experience, with an FMCG / CPG background being advantageous.
- Proven track record managing and developing teams.
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and possessing excellent communication and presentation skills.
